Motor Yacht - Pegaso - 73 m - Freire Shipyard - 2011
Motor Yacht - Pegaso - 73 m - Freire Shipyard Based on a 2003 concept led by the late Michael Wasilewski and Alexander Flemming, with Norwegian architects Petter Yran & Bjorn Storbraaten AS, C700 as she is known in the yard, was designed to meet the specific requirements of a seasoned owner who wanted to travel the ocean in luxury, whilst pursuing his passion for the undersea world.

Officially classed as a research vessel, with key specifications like Ice Class, DP, 10,000 mile range, fully compliant helipad, a 10 ton five-man submarine with diver lockout, wet and dry laboratory, video editing suite and fully equipped dive operation and four tenders to name but a few, suggest Pegaso will certainly turn a few heads.

She accommodates 12 guests in six cabins, with the VIP suite and four guest cabins located on the main deck. the owner's deck houses the owner's accommodation, which has unhindered 360° views. Forward is a sun deck with fixed seating accessed directly from the owner's cabin, which also faces forward. A lobby connects the owner's cabin to the aft facing office. There is a also a large sun deck aft of the office.

Interestingly, superyacht Pegaso is now the biggest luxury yacht constructed in Spain, moving into first position ahead of the now second place yacht Adix at 64 m, the 61 metre Absin the and the 55 m sailing yacht Elena. Later in 2010 Marin LuxurYachts, builder of Elena is also due to launch a 60 metre superyacht for a Spanish owner.

Pegaso has a steel hull and was designed by the British studio H2 Yacht Design and her naval architecture by BMT Nigel Gee and Associates. She will have a cruising speed of 14 knots giving her a range of 10.000 nautical miles.
